SBS4 Home Page Competition - My Entry

>> February 22, 2009

As many of you know, I am part of a blogging sisterhood, SBS4. We all support each other through our blogging endeavours and general everyday life. We have a Yahoo group that we chitter chatter away on and it has been over a year since we updated our home page photo. So at the moment we are having a competition to create a new photo. The theme was Chocolate Teal Bling, so you had to use some Chocolate Chip, Teal and Bling on your creation.

I went with a card - 3D just isn't me at the moment and I am busy scrapping my Melbourne holiday snaps and there was nothing in there that went with the colour scheme. So here is my entry:

The image is one from Stamp It (Aust) called Gossiping Girls - given the SBS4 ladies are spread over about seven countries, there is little chance we can share a glass or two. But hey, we can imagine we do!
I have watercoloured the ladies up, using my aquapainter and ink refills. The spotty paper is from the ever diminishing stash of Au Chocolate (Ret.) paper from Stampin Up and the flowers from my mega stash. I have covered off the bling requirement, with some rhinestone brads in the flowers and some rhinestones (gotta love Kaisercraft!) under the sentiment.
There is one more week for the members to post their entries and then we are all going to vote on a winner. The lucky duck gets to have their creation on out Yahoo home page for the next extended period of time!
If you get the chance and are itching to see some awesome work, pop by the blogs of my SBS4 sisters - their work is truly inspirational. Click here to be taken to a list of their blog addys.
Side note: I have changed my watermark on my photos, and wanted to share this awesome font I came across. I am always on the hunt for great cursive or handwriting fonts. The font is called Petra Script EF and can be found free here . Everywhere else you have to pay US$35 for it, which I wasn't prepared to do - so glad I found it free. If the link doesn't work, let me know and I will email the file to you.
